Drowning in Politics

In a shared dwelling, the roof has a leak. One occupant says, “My room is perfectly dry, so let’s keep everything as it is. If you’re wet, just wear a rain coat, it’s not my problem.” Another occupant says, “Let’s tear off the leaky roof and build a better one. Yes it will rain on everyone for awhile, but in the end we’ll all be dry!” Meanwhile, the occupants in the basement are standing in water that’s steadily rising.
